Basic physics of the method

М S. D. Pirson model is based on the idea of oil deposits being a source of electrotelluric current. It was determined that, upon accumulation in some sort of “traps”, hydrocarbon and related chemical compounds (hydrogen sulphide, organic acid salts, etc.) trend to always induce electric potentials and currents in the Earth. S. D. Pirson model of geologic profile is based on the formation of the vertical current line in the zone of oxidative and reducing environment. Reducing zone with electron excess is created above the deposit, surrounded by an electron-free oxidative area. As a result, there occurs potential difference, and current flows towards the temperature decrease area. The maximum current density is formed above the deposit outline. Electrotelluric current above the hydrocarbon deposit shall exist as long as there is a deposit. The current density trends to reduce upon the hydrocarbon deposit devastation. Current distribution and density on the surface during daylight depend directly on the hydrocarbon deposit outline and volume.

ВDuring particles dislocation, the movement of substance within the hydrocarbon deposit / atmosphere loop system takes place. The upper system boundary is the oxygen saturation line; the lower boundary is the deposit bottom.

V. N. Moskvichev model describes the environment above hydrocarbon deposit as a stagger-peaked selective system due to the representation of poorly magnetised fluid flow in the form of plasma-type anisotropic formation (see Fig. below). Charge transfer process is of relay-race character. The particle of atomic origin turns into an ion following interaction with a negatively charged particle. Ions are the means of charge and substance transfer. Thus, if there is a particle flux, there occurs geomagnetic anomaly above the hydrocarbon deposit, which results in anomaly of electrical tensity field.
